When we looked at the subject matter for this range we elected to go for 40mm because of the impact the miniatures have on the gaming table. We hope you agree that the sculptors have delivered a set of figures worthy of translating mythological adventures onto your gaming table.
Jason the Adventurer
The adventures of Jason and the Argonauts offer quite a good mixture of battles and skirmishes against mortals, immortals and natural phenomena. You have plenty of options, especially as there are so many different stories about the Argonauts, including one in which they were just shepherds. Most of them relate the events in a different order, placing different emphasis on the actions of individual Argonauts or the kings that they dealt with.
The main advantage of the Argonauts is that they faced their challenges as a group, though there was at least one challenge of single combat, that which was between Polydeuces and King Amycus. You can easily set up skirmishes between the Argonauts and the Hoplites of King Cyzicus, or the Warriors of the Bebrycans for example. These can be warband versus warband affairs, or a heroic stand by a small group of Champions whose enemies have greater numbers and a much greater total point cost
